I’m an award-winning writer, editor and content creator who has been juggling words and crafting stories for more than two decades. Writing is a form of discovery that allows me to explore, learn and share stories that shape, move and connect us.  

As the founding editor of Springs Magazine, I regularly cover the people, places and lifestyle that make Colorado Springs a thriving Mountain West city.

As a freelance writer and editor, I’m most passionate about telling stories rooted in travel, the outdoors and adventure. But I have covered everything from health, fitness, sports and wellness to food and drink, music, arts and entertainment, business, real estate, social justice, family, kids, spirituality and more. And I always love a good personal profile. My work has appeared in publications such as 5280, Transworld Snowboarding and Snow.com.

As a copywriter and content marketer, I have helped to shape and craft brand messaging in all forms. Need a feature story, video script, ad copy, emails, newsletters, social posts, press releases or a marketing/communications campaign? I've done them all.

My career has been rooted in magazine journalism, but I have also written and edited multiple books. My personal titles include the soccer biography Toward the Goal: The Kaka Story and Walking on Water: The Spirituality of the World's Top Surfers. But I've also adapted and ghostwritten books (and book proposals) with other authors.

Whatever the project, I bring creativity, attention to detail, a collaborative approach and excellence on deadline.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding or exploring Colorado’s mountains and beyond with my family.
